Shangarh is a meadow village in Sainj Valley. Locals treat the grassland as sacred — stay on paths and do not camp on the meadow itself unless the host says so.

  • This is not a Great Himalayan National Park inner-line trek. A buffer-forest walk or a Tirthan day is the add-on, not a park safari.
  • May–June and September–October are the reliable months. July–August can close roads after rain.
