Sissu is the first easy halt in Lahaul after the Atal Tunnel from Manali. The waterfall and village are the point of the trip — not a Leh crossing.
- You sleep in Manali first so the jump to about 3,250 m is less abrupt. Keylong is a day drive, not an overnight in this plan.
- The tunnel is usually open year-round. Higher side roads and Keylong can still close in heavy snow. We check the road the morning you leave Manali.
Indicative trip costs (2025–26)
The package sale price is the land cost (stay + meals as listed + local transport). Flights, trains, and some activities are extra. Atal Tunnel made Sissu a 2-hr hop from Manali. Volvo + local cab is the cheap stack; private Innova from Delhi costs more.
