Sonmarg is a high meadow on the Srinagar–Leh road. This plan sleeps in Srinagar because hotel choice there is wider.

  • Thajiwas is a short walk or pony from the meadow. The so-called Zero Point toward Zoji La is seasonal and may be closed.
  • May to October is the usual access. Do not treat this as a Leh trip — you turn back to Srinagar each evening.
